Why we built this
Founder note — placeholder copyI moved between three Sydney suburbs in four years before I found one that actually fit — not because the listings were bad, but because nothing told me what a suburb was actually like to live in until I'd already signed a lease.
Every "find your suburb" tool I tried was a dressed-up listings feed, ranking suburbs by what was for rent that week rather than by population, renter rates, commute, or whether anyone like me actually lived there. The data existed — the ABS publishes it every five years — nobody was using it to help renters decide.
Suburb Hunt exists to close that gap: real Census data, your actual situation, and an honest answer about where you'd actually be happy living.

We always name the suburb. Generic rental advice helps no one — specifics do.
